Job description
Serves as part of the sunapsis Development Team as lead on mobile application development. Works as part of an agile development team to conduct systems analysis; develop project plans; re-factor code; and program new code or modules. Conducts mobile app development using Google’s Flutter toolkit to deliver platform-native UI mobile app experiences. Requires programming in Dart. Requires backend coding in ColdFusion and MS SQL Server for the mobile app services, along with functionalities for the overall communication capabilities within sunapsis.
Provide expert consultation to the sunapsis Quality Control & Client Relations teams to aid in resolving technical issues both for IU users and client institutions. Works with Indiana University and client institutions around the country for the build, release, and maintains their mobile apps within the Android and iPhone app stores.
sunapsis is an IU developed application for international admissions and immigration student and scholar compliance used system-wide at IU and also used by 100+ institutions of higher education and research institutes.
Required qualifications
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informatics, information science, or other closely related field and two years programming experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Experience in development of mobile applications either directly native or through a framework; demonstrated ability working in a client – programmer environment; and core database understanding. Excellent communication skills, customer service attitude, and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and with non-technical users.
